Lights Over Water

I took this overlooking the Provo River. It was levelled and cropped in PSCS, and some minor adjustments were made. Exposure time was 4 seconds.

Blue Jeans

I captured this at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Surprisingly, the yellow light is natural, because the entire hallway was brightly lit with yellow lights. However, I did fiddle with the lighting a bit (it's a bit darker than it was) and I tried to make the jeans stand out a bit more.

Three Midnight Studies

I took these just outside my apartment, in the same places as a couple of the other ones, so they may look familiar. The middle study is unfortunately blurry, but I love the way the water looks. The last study is too dark, an unfortunate byproduct of only having a 15 second shutter speed on my camera. However, I like the concept quite a bit, so I'm going to continue playing with it. The top one is also a tad dark, for the same reason, but I think it turned out well. *Study No.1 cropped; No. 2 leveled; No. 3 leveled, with red filter overlay*

Steve the Turtle

Yeah, that's right. Steve. I saw this turtle on a rock in The Lake in Central Park during an afternoon boatride with friends. He was the best looking out of the 19 or 20 turtles on the rock, and I could just see the hint of a smile on his face as he looked back at me. I figured, why waste a smile? I'm glad I didn't because I love this picture. Gaussian blur gradient added on PS.

The Clock Tower

This is the old New York City Public Library building. The sky behind it was, in a word, amazing. The whole area of Greenwich, where this was taken, had so many awesome buildings, but this was such a perfect scene that I couldn't help but capture it. Cropped and leveled in PS.

The Courtyard

This took me quite a long time to render on PS. It still isn't quite right, unfortunately, but I like how it looks, generally. This was taken in Greenwich Village in New York City, right near the old Public Library. There were all kinds of awesome buildings in that area, but this little courtyard just hit me. I love it. Hopefully I'll figure out how to render it exactly how I want it....

Out With the Old, In With the New

The dichotomy of this scene really hit me, and I had to capture it. This was taken in the Financial District outside of Castle Clinton in New York City. I also really like the rendering I did on PS. I think it looks rad.
